Get out the dancing shoes. Tonight’s the night!

That’s right. After nearly a year of planning, Party for Life is tooooonight, folks! Here’s the game plan:

If you purchased tickets, but haven’t picked them up yet
Pop over to the Gift for Life booth in the Javitz Crystal Court, next to the main registration counter. Try to do that early in the day since unclaimed tickets will be taken to the Boathouse (party location), where they can be picked up at the door.

If you don’t have tickets yet
Same basic drill as above. You can purchase tickets at either the GFL booth in the Crystal Court -or- at the door when you arrive at the Boathouse.

Tell the cabbie or car driver:
You’re headed to the Boathouse at Central Park (East 72nd Street at Park Drive North). Party starts at 6:30, runs ’til 10:00 p.m.

When you get there
You’ll be welcomed with a Big Appletini, setting the stage for a seriously fun evening. Tasty bites, cocktails, laughter, and entertainment by Arlene’s World Famous Live Rock and Roll Karaoke Band. (We’re talkin’ serious buzz in the booths the next day, based on that last part alone.) This is a rare opportunity to rub elbows with a whole lot of industry folks, from the leadership of marts and shows to vendors to reps to retailers…none of which are talking business. This is “let your hair down and play” night, so kick back and laugh it out.

Take home knockout prizes
A selection of terrific jewelry, home accessories, and other treasures make this one of the best silent auctions yet. But have you heard about our live auction prizes? A VIP package for Janet Jackson’s “Number Ones, Up Close and Personal” Tour, including backstage passes…A David Letterman package including two nights at Trump Soho and VIP tickets to the show…or, if a quiet beach appeals to you more than star power, how about seven days in a three-bedroom oceanfront Premier Suite at Seven Stars Resort in the Turks and Caicos?

Yeah. Thought those would get your attention. They sure got ours when the opportunities arose.

Best part? Proceeds from tonight’s extravaganza will go to DIFFA, supporting HIV/AIDS prevention. A huge, enthusiastic thank you goes to our sponsors who brought us this far; what we raise with the auctions tonight will build on that success, making it a win/win for everyone.

So put on your party shoes…ask around to see who else might want to tag along…then scoot over to the GFL booth or the Boathouse to get your tickets. This is gonna be one fun night, folks. Don’t be the one hearing about it after the fact, kicking yourself for missing it.
