There was good news today in the fight against HIV. The FDA has approved Truvada as the first preventative drug for people at high risk of acquiring HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. Truvada’s already being used to treat patients who have HIV, but research shows that Truvada can cut the infection risk by 42%.
One more step forward in the prevention of HIV/AIDS. It’s a good day.
