Gift for Life Welcomes New Board Members

November 10, 2015— Gift for Life, the gift and home industries’ sole national charitable organization, has announced the addition of three new board members to its roster, bringing its leadership roster to 27 members.  New members are Scott Kramer and Randi Mohr of NY NOW, the Market for HOME, LIFESTYLE + GIFT, and Ilene Shaw of Shaw & Co. Productions.

“These new members bring strong gift and home industry knowledge and experience, as well as design industry connections and resources to our board, ” said Frank Joens, chairman of the Gift For Life Board. “We are honored to welcome them and to use their time and talents to further our overall mission.”

Ilene Shaw, owner of Shaw & Co. Productions.  Shaw has devoted her career to the advocacy of good design and her firm assists product and interior designers in the licensing of sustainable home product designs including textiles, carpets, wall coverings and furnishings.  Shaw was instrumental in the origination of both Accent on Design as well as ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair), and is the founder of Operation Design, a not-for-profit that connects design professionals and New York City public schools.  Shaw also is a member of the board of directors of DIFFA: Design Industries Fighting Against AIDS.

Randi Mohr, vice president and co-director of NY NOW, the Market for HOME, LIFESTYLE + GIFT. Mohr is a veteran member of the New York Market sales team, in addition to her experience with sponsorship and digital sales.

Scott Kramer, vice president and co-director of NY NOW, the Market for HOME, LIFESTYLE + GIFT. In addition to his current role with NY NOW, Kramer’s industry sales and marketing experience includes senior sales responsibilities for gift shows in Boston and Las Vegas and eight years as the owner-manager of a gift retail operation.

 

Each year, Gift for Life hosts events throughout the U.S. benefitting DIFFA.
