Gift for Life’s Home vs Hunger team is once again hosting its successful “Party With a Purpose” fundraising event for World Central Kitchen during the winter Atlanta Market. The non-profit board, made up of volunteers in the home and gift industries, invites all industry professionals to gather, network and enjoy a fun evening, all while supporting a good cause.
Featuring wine, beer and food generously provided by Currey & Co, the event on Tuesday, Jan. 13, from 6-8 p.m. will be hosted in the Currey & Company showroom (Building 1, Floor 1, Suite L3).
One-hundred percent of proceeds from ticket sales and donations made during the event will go to help World Central Kitchen’s global efforts to provide meals and disaster relief to those in need.
A minimum donation of $20 per person is requested for entry. Just $25 provides five meals to those affected by a crisis. Tickets are available for purchase in advance through www.giftforlife.org/donate or at the door on Tuesday, Jan. 13. Special thanks to sponsors Andmore and Currey & Company.
“Bringing Home vs Hunger back to Atlanta for a second year feels incredibly special,” said Russ Jones, chair of Gift for Life’s Home vs Hunger team. “We like to say it’s where great design meets great purpose — and thanks to the amazing generosity of Currey & Company, we get to turn a night of fun into real impact. The home furnishings community has a huge heart, and this event is proof of what we can accomplish when we come together. I’m deeply grateful for the support that helps us champion the lifesaving work of World Central Kitchen and transform our mission into meaningful action.”

Home vs. Hunger’s “Party with a Purpose” event made its Atlanta debut in January 2025, raising $12,225 for World Central Kitchen. For the first time ever, the board also announced their annual Gift for Life Industry Achievement Award winner at the event, to generate momentum for its fundraiser in June at the Retailer Excellence Awards hosted by Gifts & Decorative Accessories in Dallas. This year, the board will announce its 2026 recipient.
“Home vs. Hunger has become one of the most meaningful traditions in our industry — a night where our community comes together to celebrate, connect, and make a real impact,” said Emalee Hoffman, chair for Gift for Life. “This year’s Party with a Purpose in Atlanta will be an incredible evening filled with energy, generosity, and heart.”
Home vs Hunger’s “Party with a Purpose” fundraiser first debuted at the Fall 2022 High Point Market and has since raised more than $100,000 for World Central Kitchen. This includes significant funds raised to support disaster relief efforts following earthquakes in Turkey and Syria and devastating wildfires in Maui in 2023, and more recently damaging hurricanes in Asheville, N.C., and Tampa, Fla. Gift for Life, as a whole, has raised more than $1 million for World Central Kitchen since 2020.
With a goal of raising a minimum of $20,000 at the Atlanta event, Gift for Life hopes to continue its tradition of helping feed those in need, while providing attendees with a memorable evening of giving back.
